It gives me immense pleasure to welcome all the students of Under-graduate and Post-graduate courses and other courses to the academic year 2018-19. Our college, enjoying a total autonomous status for the last few years, has recently been upgraded and placed at ‘A+’ Grade by the National Assessment & Accreditation Council. I am duty-bound to thank the Management, the Staff and the Students for these achievements. It is with a sense of in-depth honour, pride and privilege, that I introduce the family of Mata Gujri Mahila Mahavidyalaya to you.
The journey began in 1994, and over the decade, we have crossed many milestones, logged in numerous achievements and carved out a niche for ourselves in the academic arena. M.G.M.M. has remained steadfast to one central commitment, i.e. women empowerment in letter and spirit. The motto of the College ” Truth is high, and higher then truth is truthful life”, is reflected through providing value based education and for imparting idles of academic excellence, sense of discipline, high moral and ethical values leading to the development of integrated and empowered young women.
The college presents a happy blend of traditional and modern education where knowledge is imparted to the students so that they may occupy a better place in modern competitive world and develop all round personality by retaining the beauty of mind and intellect as well as the soul. It has made its mark in academic, sports and cultural fields. All this has been possible because of the unflinching support of the Managing Committee and hard work of experienced faculty. M.G.M.M. has developed a unique culture that values diversity, participative decision making and team work that encompasses the spirit of enquiry, innovation and passion for transforming ideas into action.
At MGMM we emphasize on instilling confidence and independence promoting critical thinking that will help the students to act and react in real life situations. Not only is knowledge imparted but opportunities are provided whereby the students learn and test the applicability of the knowledge acquired.Our pedagogy is technology integrated to enhance the understanding of inter–linkage between theory and practice. The needs of the contemporary society have propelled us to impart education that is both qualitative and quantitative.
In this temple of learning, you will find that the focus of the institution and its members remains on the students. Our faculty works like mentors for them, and is always ready to extend a helping hand, to provide a listening ear, a word of advice, care and steady support to the future ambassadors of our college and thereafter, the nation.
At Mata Gujri College, you would feel the freedom which would make you realize your responsibility, feel the affection which would make you respect the right, the just and the positive. Here, you would also experience the sincerity of purpose which would make you know the meaning of success and achievement. So dear parents and students, come and celebrate prosperity and good fortune and realizing your dreams with us.
I am sure, this college will play a meaningful role in the competitive times ahead and scale new lights. I pray to God Almighty for its future growth and prosperity. May God give each one of us strength to work harder to achieve our goals. I wish all our new students every success in their education, to those returning to another year, continued success….
