The glorious journey of the Department of Commerce began in 1994 with UG Programme in Commerce (B.Com.).The Department upgraded to a Postgraduate Department of Commerce offering M.Com. in the year 1998. The department entered in management education by starting a UG Program in Management (BBA) in 2002 thus making it a truly interdisciplinary department. In the year 2014 B.Com. Hon’s Course started in the department. To reflect this diversity in the courses offered by the department, the name of the department was changed as Department of Commerce and Management. More than 80% of the faculty members of the department hold Doctoral Degrees and have an experience of more than 15 years.
